Lamontagne Survey Services is based in the Halifax Peninsula, close to Halifax based facilities and minutes from Burnside Industrial Park. 

Grant Lamontagne, Lead Surveyor at Lamontagne Survey Services has been surveying cargo since 2006, first with Silver’s Agencies Ltd, Halifax’s oldest Marine Cargo Survey company, then as Lamontagne Survey Services since 2016.

In his time, Grant has performed surveys of food product, military equipment, aerospace equipment and components, traditional, nuclear and alternative fuels, power generation and many other industries and products.

He has also been involved with major projects, including crisis response and incident mitigation work. While his name may not have been made public, many of the projects Grant has been involved with have made headlines- and many others did not.

Prior to starting his cargo survey experience, Grant worked as a high-risk security specialist and investigator assessing liability concerns and determining responsibility for insurance claims.

Grant is also recognized as an official Canmar Marine Services Associate Surveyor for the Port of Halifax and surrounding areas. He has worked with CanMar as an independent surveyor in the past, and was an ideal choice to help grow and expand the CanMar network expansion into the Halifax Area.

He has an innate understanding of security, investigations and discretionary concerns, making him an ideal candidate for sensitive situations, and he has also been part of large-scale projects that resulted in major changes to a variety of industries.
